Contractors engaged under the OPD Umbrella Company operate under the PAYE scheme, and relevant deductions, such as income tax, employee national insurance, pensions, and student loans (if applicable), are taken into account at the source. Additionally, employees are provided with the option of paid holidays, reimbursement of approved training expenses, coverage of other relevant expenses, potential performance-based end-of-year dividends through the employee share scheme (if eligible), and adherence to all statutory entitlements.

We have a close partnership with PMCT Accountants & Consultants, who will handle the completion and filing of your Self-assessment related to your consideration of working with OPD's Umbrella Company, and this service is provided to you at no cost.
Furthermore, PMCT Accountants & Consultants will also address other tax considerations you may have, such as rented properties and capital gains tax, at a highly competitive price that is advantageous for you. We prioritise offering comprehensive support and favourable pricing to ensure your tax-related needs are met effectively.
PAYE Process
OPD remuneration package is strictly under PAYE tax rules. Employee Income tax and National insurance under PAYE would be deducted. If Student Loan repayment is applicable, it would form part of PAYE deductions. Net income receivable would be paid to your account Weekly or Monthly.
Pension
Enrollment into the OPD Stakeholder Pension is mandatory. OPD takes care of the arrangements for paying the applicable Employer National Insurance and Employer Pension contributions on behalf of employees.
Dividend
OPD provides the option for dividend entitlement based on the net profit after corporation tax. The eligibility to receive dividends depends on individual performance and is considered as part of the periodic Self-assessment filing process.
Training
OPD urges users to allocate a minimum of two weeks for career training. We offer a costed training plan option, allowing users to allocate resources for their professional development and capitalise on the opportunities provided by OPD to enhance their skills and prospects.
Reimbursement
OPD offers reimbursement for relevant and necessary expenses incurred during your engagement with an employer, provided they are certified by PMCT Accountants & Consultants. This reimbursement policy aligns with standard practices where employers typically reimburse employees for such expenses.
Holidays
Employees are entitled to 4 weeks of pro rata annual paid holidays at OPD. The working year is set at 48 weeks. We offer the option to extend holidays beyond the standard 4 weeks, allowing individuals to take additional paid time off, including non-working days, as extra holidays.
